In February of 2008,
We had the pleasure of visitin' Jamaica mon.

vacation.
How do you spell Paradise?...
…Lying in a bungalow, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, listening to the rush of the water
while having he best massage I have ever had..that is how I spell Paradise.
We arrived in Jamaica and went directly to the Couples
lounge at the airport, where we were served drinks and waited for our chariot to arrive to take us away to this aforementioned Paradise.
We were greeted with warm smiles and champagne. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of
the ocean (as most Sans Souci rooms do). We had a lovely sitting room where we could sit on the couch and watch
the waves while reading or just relax. .
That evening there was a welcome cocktail reception and we had some wonderful
appetizers and very tasty “Pirates Punch”. Mr. Dickson, the general manager, set up a tour for us the next morning
so that we could see some of the other accommodations at the resorts. Since we were a little worn from our travels, we chose
to eat at the restaurant right on the beach “Bella Vista”. We invited one of the couples we meet at the reception and had a
very relaxing delicious dinner with the sound of the waves as our accompaniment. We crashed fairly early in our very comfortable
bed, the turn down service was an added pleasure.
The next day as we toured the resort. We were immediately taken
in by the warmth of the people, and the beauty of this resort location, tastefully carved into the hills of Jamaica. A word of warning,
this resort, due to the many hills and stairs, would not be ideal for those in a wheelchair, or who must use a walker.
The beach
was lovely, though small. The clothing optional beach actually was larger. There were bars by the lovely pools, a very well equipped
exercise room, as well as a grotto where there are reportedly mystical healing powers.
The food was absolutely wonderful at
all venues, and at night the wonderful staff kept the party going with great dance music, some kareoke, and for those who have a taste
for it, plenty of that Jamaican rum. (I think it also came out of the tap).
The massage cabanas were wonderfully placed overlooking
the calm ocean, and they have a beautiful little gazebo that over looks the sea as well. A perfect place to get married.
All
in all, we give Couple San Souci our highest ratings. We can't wait to go back.
